Telesat announced today the appointment of Dolores Martos as Regional Vice President, Latin America and Caribbean Sales. Dolores is a highly regarded and experienced sales executive who has held senior positions in several leading satellite companies.

Satellite operator Intelsat S.A. (NYSE:I) announced that José Manuel do Rosário Toscano will be joining the company to lead its efforts in International Government Affairs and Asset Management, effective September 4, 2017.  Mr. Toscano will join the Luxembourg global headquarters office.

Effective May 1, 2017, Bob Fickett will assume the role of chief executive officer of CPI International, Inc., which is the parent company of Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI) and Communications & Power Industries Canada Inc. (CPI Canada).  Fickett has served as president and chief operating officer of CPI International since March 2002.

Satellite manufacturer Space Systems Loral (SSL)  today announced that it is increasing its commitment to support U.S. Government missions with key executives that bring a depth of experience to the company. Under the direction of Richard White who was promoted to President of SSL Government Systems, Robert Zitz has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for SSL Government Systems.  He is joined by Tim Gillespie, who takes on the role of Vice President of Business Development, National Programs for SSL Government Systems.

Qvest Media, a systems architect for broadcasting and media technology, is expanding its business in the UK and Northern Europe and has appointed Thomas Birner as Head of Sales for these regions. Thuraya Telecommunications Company announced that Mr. Ahmed Al Shamsi, Chief Technology Officer has been appointed as temporary Acting Chief Executive Officer of the company, assuming the role immediately.
