New York City, NY, July 6, 2021

Satellogic, a provider of high-resolution satellite data collection, and CF Acquisition Corp. V (Nasdaq: CFV) (“CFAC V”), a special purpose acquisition company sponsored by Cantor Fitzgerald, announced today that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement that will result in Satellogic becoming a publicly traded company.

The transaction is expected to be completed early in the fourth quarter of 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. After closing, Satellogic will trade on the Nasdaq under ticker symbol SATL.

Having lived in Shenzhen for a handful of years, I would hear time and time again about things developing at “Shenzhen Speed.” In local parlance, the peak of Shenzhen Speed coincided with the early-1990s to mid-2000s building boom, when some buildings went up at a rate of 4 floors every 9 days. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) today signed an agreement with the Government of Romania for the hosting of the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2022 (PP-22) in Bucharest. ITU's supreme governing body is set to convene from 26 September to 14 October 2022 at the Palace of the Parliament in the Romanian capital.

The Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) unanimously approved, at its meeting on June 21, $80.7 million for HISPASAT, the Spanish satellite telecommunications operator of the Grupo Red Eléctrica. This transaction will finance launch services and also launch and initial in-orbit insurance of Amazonas Nexus, which will be launched in 2022 on a SpaceX rocket.
